Modernization

‘We are modern’ from the day one I have heard from every body. But do we really understand what is modern or modernization really mean. Is it wearing western outfits and copying the western culture or eating fast foods and alocohol.
My views regarding modernization or modernity is  do not forget the old accept the new.I have seen many of them commenting that we don’t believe in old rituals .But have you searched for why these were made.Wearing a bindi is no longer a ritual its nowadays outdated, now a days married girls hide their sindoor or don’t put it on their forehead. They even don’t like to have mangal sutra in their necks. In India now the youngsters or we ourselves don’t have patience to sit in marriage rituals rather we say the pundits to cut short it or we love to have court marriages.Like wise the result is also same their married life have been cut short. It has been observed that we have also cut short our funeral ceremony also but the results also is the individual gets it. We have forgotten the roots .In India each and every ritual has been made by our ancestors have  significant reasons and it signifies it . These also helps us in make us disciplined society. Its good the purdaah is no more but what has come instead of purdaah have you observed it.
Many times I have come across that girls saying that boys comments on us .But why they do so have you ever searched for the reason. For this  I can quote  a dialogue of Bagh Ban “ Aadhe aadhe kapde pehenke hume bulate hain aur phir sati savitri hone ka dikhawa karte hain’. Is it not the fact. Yes it is. I totally  agree todays girls are no more saree claded but don’t be awfully dressed that people will comment on us.Be within the boundaries, in this century girls can do each and every work no stones are left unturned by the girls but then also there are burnt cases of dowry. Can we guess the reason ? I would say jealousy and intolerance of a girl to another girl. Here no change of believes no modernity the same what was their before now also it is the same right. No one wants to change also.
We have to work on our beliefs thoughts. Few days back I saw in Telivision a pandit pouring hot kheer on new born babies due superstion  and blind beliefs. Now also people believe in black magic and these type of superstions , where are we now why have we not changed here. There are people having some beliefs its good to have but not so much of blind beliefs. Now also we believe if a cat crosses the road then its bad  but if we cross the road of a cat then it would be thinking the same . There are many people who have blind beliefs . I am not saying its bad to believe but believe with some extent . Wearing a saree is oldfashioned , but wearing  a saree with backless, frontless blouse is a justified . how?. Touching feet of elders is said to be outdated how? Science have proved that touching feet transfers positive and special energy to youngers. People would laugh at this logic of mine. But we have some ancient treasures which we say as puranas aur granths and answers are within it. Sitting in dining table was not our culture, rather people of  India  would sit in gound and eat was its culture, now its ganwarpan, then people were loving  to eat with hands but now modern etiquettes says to eat with fork and spoon. But how can u eat samosa in fork just think. U can eat chinese in fork but chapatti in fork disgusting . And sitting in ground with proper posture  helps in digesting food and also a good exercise.
People or I can say even me love to eat pastas, pizzas, burgers, and dislike suji, chuda, bajra etc. For this reason we in early age suffer from gastritis, blood pressure, diabetes, and heart attacks. That’s the reason behind it.
But I will say really we have forgotten our roots . Modernisation doesn’t means forget the old or what we have and copy others. Rather  I would say remember the old and modify it don’t change. That said to be modern .Do not  forget the old .Specially  girls they have forgotten their beautiful ornaments of  a girl, that’s lajja , which is no more in them. They don’t know how to cook which was their primary duty but they have forgotten . They can utilize their talent in dealing with machines but they have forgotten their primary duties . Indian girls are said to be the most decent girls. But now they have lost many things, they have lost their individuality and our society is going in a wrong way. There are many issues where India should be proud of being first in that but India is first in some shameful deeds.Be proud that you are married, don’t hesitate to show your sindoor in the forehead, and mangal sutra, rather proud to be.
India is  agricultural based country. Here we should use our modern technologies. But now also we use the old methods of cultivation. Now also there is female infanticide and female feoticide, now also people are below poverty line, now also people are burnt for dowry. Do we  are really modern?.Now I would say no.The question arises where we should use modern beliefs there we haven’t used yet . People now also die for not getting proper treatment our Government spends lakh lakhs of money on students for studying but what happens in the end the students goes out and use the technique in foreign countries where as India needs it. Why do they do it?. Stop copying and pasting. We have our originality search it. Now also I will say everything is there in our puranas and granths and in India discover and utilize. Then only India would be said modern and  actual modernization would be really meant.
My message let the old be their and accept the new then only we would be purely modern.

DUM ALOO

About this recipe is invented by me .As we don’t eat onions and garlic's tried to make it with other alternatives. Hope all will like this. For this the ingredients we need is:-

Potatoes- Medium sized small ones.
Groundnuts-
Ginger- Half or a little
Tomatoes- One to make puree out of it and another for garnishing.
Jeera Powder-
Curry Powder-
Coriander leaves/Dhania patta-
Turmeric Powder/ Haldi-
Curry Powder-
Refine oil-
Salt to taste
Kashmiri Mirch Powder

Method
Peel the potatoes and wash it in the water and then pierce it with a fork from all side. After all the potatoes are pierced, marinate with salt, turmeric and keep aside for a while. Keep it for at max for half an hour so that salt goes inside the potatoes. After that make a paste of groundnuts, make ginger paste and tomato puree. These three should be made different not all in one. After these preparations are over.
Light wok and heat oil for deep frying in a kadai. When the oil is heated up put the marinated potatoes in the oil one by one and fry in a low flame till the potatoes upper layer turns into golden brown. After the potatoes are golden brown take it out in a tissues paper so that the extra oil is soaked up.
Let the potatoes cool. In mean while light a wok and heat a kadai and put one two table spoon of oil and when the oil is heated up add panch photan and keep in mind this also should be in a low flame. When the panch photan splutters add the groundnuts paste and keep on stirring with a spoon so that it doesn’t cuddles. fry for a while the groundnuts paste, then add to that haldi powder, then add ginger paste, fry for a while then add tomato puree, after that add curry powder, jeera powder and kashmiri mirch powder just for color. Fry till all the masala's mix well and the mixture starts leaving oil from the sides and a very sweet aroma comes. After that add water to that and mix it well and add salt to taste. After that cut the potatoes  into two halves with knife and add to this gravy and cover it with a  tight lid and cook it in flame for 10 min.Do open the lid in between. But it should be cooked in the vapor (dum). When you see all potatoes with the gravy .Garnish it with coriander leaves and tomatoes. Serve hot with rice or roti's.

As the name suggest it should be cooked in the dum.Nowadays we use cooking gas in our house so the taste might matter but if it cooked in a angithi or lakdi wala chulha it might have mouth watering taste.

I AM TOO BUSY

The word" busy" is very common and" I am too busy" is very very much common to us .How is it common to lets come to know .If we keenly observe ourselves otherwise let me start with myself only. If I introspect myself I might find be using is this would every min or sec.But am i really busy???Am I telling the truth? Am I telling this to others or am I fooling myself? Each of us if we observe ourselves we can find the answer. I know in this fast growing world we all are running with my time and at the end of the day also we think why God has given 24 hrs in a day why not 26 hrs a day. But for whom we are running for? just think for a while…..
We are running for ourselves for our near and dear's. But what's the use  of running if we can't get time for them or for ourselves .For e.g.:- 1.At the end of the day if we can't get time for having proper sleep then what is  the use of earning so much money?. 2. If we can't take care of our children rather we are leaving to grow up with the help of maids then what's the use of making money or remaining busy whole day?.3. if we can't give ourselves a 15min of time per day to relax then what's the use of remaining busy. and earning money?.
As I have felt in these days I found this that busy word has two meanings. One intentionally said that "I am busy" and second one is that they are really busy and are mad for money.
Let me elaborate the first one of intentionally said 'I am busy'. Actually these persons are never busy rather some are very much lazy type person or want to avoid a person they said it.
For e.g.:-Once  x person asked y to serve dinner .Ysaid that as I am cutting the vegetables for next day because mom is not in home so that I can prepare your meals in the morning and can let you to college on time. But next time X didn’t say it rather she ordered to Y to serve it as she is too much busy in her work. Then as per X' saying Y rushed to serve dinner in her room. There Y found X sitting in bed busy messaging in her mobile to her friends and ordering Y to hand over the plate to her. This is the some sort of saying busy. I hope now one can understand what type of busy these persons are.
And Second one are those persons who are busy in work .After 8 hrs of job they think how to engage themselves in other work in other work and earn money. But they forget that there is some one waiting for you in home. And these people after sometime suffer from every type of diseases like BP, diabetes, overweight, etc.
And one thing to visualize is when we say we are busy to some one how they feel.Has anyone ever tried to inculcate within themselves?. For e.g.:- When parents say to their children that we can't come to your annual function as we have loads of work in office.Just think how it hurts.
When old parents wait for their son and daughter in laws and grand children to come home in vacation, if they don’t come and send message they won't be coming because they are busy. How the heart hurts to old parents. It's really a feeling that we can't express in words. Just can feel is the tears, the heart break and nothing else.
So lastly to conclude just think before saying I am busy and try to avoid or less use of this sentence. May be it’s a short sentence but it breaks many hearts.

"Never take someone for granted, Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were busy collecting stones…….." JJ

Matar ka Paratha or kachori.(Green Peas )

Its the time of winter and we get lots and lots of  fresh  matar(green peas). Its very good for our health too. From Green Peas i m writing recipe which is as follows:

Ingredients

Matar Or Green Peas: 1kg
Green Chilli: one or two
Salt : To taste
Ginger: Small piece
Maida or Flour:
Refine oil for frying.

Method to make :
Take all the green peas in a mixer jar , add one green chilly and set it to blend. But be careful that mixture must not turn into very fine paste. The mixture must be little coarse. Then take out this mixture into a bowl and keep aside. After that make a dough ot of maida(flour), salt, and refine oil and water as we make for puri's.
Then keep it for a while .In the mean time take a kadai or pan in a wok and add one two to tablespoon oil and add grated ginger and fry till its golden brown and then add the matar paste and start kneading it.In the process of kneading add salt to it.Fry the paste till the colour of paste turns from light green to dark green and while frying if you think the paste is sticking to the kadai then add one or two spoonful oil in to that.It should be remembered it should be fried in low or medium flame. Allow it to cool .When the misture is cooled , make balls out of the maida dough and with the help of rolling pin roll it to make it into size of puri and stuff it with the mixture .Then very lightly roll the rolling pin over it .If you want to make kackori's then dont make it too big in shape, and if its for paratha the roll it make in the size of a roti.
After that if kachori is made then deep fry it in a kadai or else for paratha make it in a tawa. For kachori fry till both the sides are till golden brown. And for paratha cook the both sides of the paratha and then add little oil till it is golden brown.See to it that both sides are cooked well no side is ran means kachha.
Matar kachori or paratha is ready to eat.Serve hot with dhania chutney or with tomato and chilly sauce.

Franchisee Vrs Common Man

Franchisees vs. common man .Here there is a common differentiation how people are looted by these franchisee owners .Are we not really looted if we see it. Now a days we can see there are many coaching institutes, computer institutes have opened their shops in our cities. Yes “A shops” I can merely say or frankly say .Why so if the question arises, the probable answer would because they only buy and sell the commodity every second to or from third grocery shop.Dont they? Specially on ground of education I can say. Let’s take an example- Like a branded xyz coaching institute opens a franchisee in a very small town . It advertises, does publicity, etc everything to attract customers which are students. But after one year you come to know that this xyz institute has been closed for reasons like their payment or many illegal ways. But the company does realize that the franchisee in this city has actually suffered the loss. They found that they were not gaining profit. But who will take care of the loss that the students or customers are suffering. Are they going to be part of the sufferings, depressions or pain that the students are going to suffer? Like wise there are many professional institutes which gives professional trainings and in their advertisement they say “100% placement”. Why do they do this? Why do they show mirage to in a desert. Are they really able to place them? Can they show the results of whole India? But do they show the placement of their town? .They cant, as the truth is they haven’t. Because the institute teaches us but the person himself gets placed, they teach us the theory but practical the student has to do himself. They have to apply in work. Then what about 100% placement. And one more thing to say the place where its headquarters are and the franchisee has been opened do they maintain the same teaching style, same infrastructure. No, it varies because the franchiser don’t utilize their own brain as it is not a branch .Because branch have direct authority but franchisees dont. I can simply say companies are great fool or they pretend to be fool as they limit themselves to the profit only not the soul of the brand, and the name and fame what they have earned in so many years are being ruined by the franchisee owners. The franchisee owners have become big looters where they only see their own profit and play with the career of students and money of a common man.Simply the common man is the sufferer.
One more thing I want to say regarding the coaching institutes. I know it’s a totally different matter from that topic. We as parents, why are we running to the coaching institutes for our wards? Why? Do the parents of ours were not studying or there were no engineers or doctors without coaching institutes .Are we not the root cause of emerging coaching institutes or tutorials. We have the answer within ourselves only .If we go to Mr. Narayan Murthy , founder of  Infosys and ask how many coaching institutes have been you to qualify IIT or engineering , or APJ Abdul Kalam how many institutes he had been for becoming  a scientists? There would be answer none. Knowledge is within every child just a proper guidance, nurturing is needed which the school can do. Had not we sent them to private tuitions and encouraged the teachers for extra income they might have taught excellent in schools. Why are we running to these tutorials or coaching institutes to qualify our ward in IIT or Engineering or Medical Exams. If we can run to them or we have money power then why cant we pressurize the school authority to teach them properly  or invest some more in the school. So that if any students qualifies then let the school take the credit. Why the coaching institute make  money from your ward advertising its product through  your ward. No, its simply ridiculous. We have made education totally commercial thing. So the level of education has gone very up. Please do think of it what we have done .Ultimately we will be the losers. Though we will gain but we will be loose in the other hand. Just think about it and join hands to discourage the coaching centre, money making centers and encourage class room study .Because money is hard earned and we cant let it flow it out easily to these money mongers. We are the person who can build the career of our wards and we can runner’s of ruining our wards career.
